Learn about the journey to
obtaining the Nós por Elas Seal/abnt
NPE and ABNT have created a journey with clear and efficient steps, so that your company and its employees can be heard and collaborate to obtain the seal.


Step 1
Preliminary requirements assessment
- Check your organization’s requirements;
- Fill out the Preliminary Assessment Questionnaire (PAQ)
- Accept the audit proposal;
- During the period agreed with ABNT, your company can make adjustments if necessary to meet the parameters of the form;
Step 2
Communication
- Inform your employees/servers that the organization is undergoing the journey to obtain the Nós por Elas/ABNT Seal;
- Your organization will be responsible for internal team communication;
- Your organization will verify if it meets the indicator requirements;
- We can provide the necessary help for communication materials;
Step 3
CERTIFICATION PROCESS EVALUATION
- ABNT and the Institute will evaluate your organization’s responses and the necessary demand for certification.
- Then a compliance audit will be scheduled.
Step 4
Audit
- On the scheduled date, there will be a remote and/or on-site audit to confirm that the organization meets the requirements presented in the procedure.
Step 5
Certification
- If your organization meets the requirements established in the certification procedure “Good Practices in combating violence against women” it will be certified with the Nós por Elas Seal




To obtain the seal, it is necessary to comply with 14 requirements
that adhere to the UN’s SDG 5, responsible for achieving gender equality.

The organization must
present a Commitment to Combat Violence against Women and promote their rights, signed by the legal representative, President and/or CEO of the organization.

The organization must
present the adoption term of the
Red Signal campaign, Federal Law 14.188/21.

The organization must carry out at least two (2) educational actions per year aimed at combating violence against women for its employees/members/service providers and/or the local community.

Employees must be trained to welcome, with confidentiality and discretion, the victim who signals for help, contacting the competent authorities.

The organization's Code of Ethics must include issues related to the protection of women's rights.

Internal compliance must adopt measures to ensure the organization's compliance with the policy of protecting women victims of violence.

The organization must have an ombudsman, a telephone channel, and/or a focal point to receive and forward reports of violence against women to the responsible authorities.

The organization must use social media as a way to disseminate and publicize issues related to combating violence against women.

The organization must carry out at least two (2) educational actions per year aimed at combating violence against women for its employees/members/service providers and/or the local community.

The organization must develop projects/programs to combat violence against women.

Does the organization have internal protocols/guidelines in case any employee suffers violence?

Does the organization have a written procedure for handling cases of violence reports that occur within the organization with the recording of statistics?

The organization must have internal programs and guidelines so that its employees can seek psychological and/or legal help, with women working in its ombudsman/reporting channels to investigate the reports.

Does the organization have a talent pool and/or recruit women victims of violence?
