Obtaining the
Nós Por Elas Seal/ABNT

To support organizations in implementing good practices for preventing and addressing violence against women.

Step 1

Organizational Diagnosis

Conducting an initial assessment to identify the organization’s maturity level regarding certification requirements.

During this stage, a form is completed to map existing practices, opportunities for improvement, and key challenges for implementing the established criteria.

Step 2

Strategic Planning

Based on the diagnosis performed, a customized action plan is developed, containing guidelines, priorities, a timeline, and the measures necessary to meet the requirements that will subsequently be evaluated by ABNT.

Step 3

Training and Implementation of Good Practices

The organization receives specialized consulting, technical support, and training to structure policies, procedures, protocols, and actions aimed at preventing and addressing violence against women, fostering the effective implementation of required best practices.

Step 4

Assessment of Requirements (ABNT)

At this stage, the formal assessment process with ABNT begins, including:

• Completion of the Preliminary Assessment Questionnaire (QAP);
• Analysis of compliance with requirements applicable to the organization;
• Acceptance of the commercial proposal and definition of the certification audit scope.

Step 5

Independent Audit (ABNT)

On the previously scheduled date, ABNT will conduct an independent audit—which may take place remotely and/or on-site—to verify the conformity of the implemented practices and confirm compliance with the requirements of the certification procedure.

Step 6

Certification (ABNT)

Upon completion of the audit process and verification of compliance with the requirements set forth in the certification procedure for “Good Practices in Combating Violence Against Women,” the organization will receive the certification and be authorized to use the “Nós Por Elas” (Us for Them) Seal, demonstrating its institutional commitment to environments that are safer, inclusive, and dedicated to the protection of women.

THE 14 REQUIREMENTS

The required level of compliance varies according to the intended certification category, based on progressive criteria regarding maturity and institutional commitment to preventing and addressing violence against women.

The Nós Por Elas/ABNT Seal is structured into four recognition categories—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—with each level awarded based on adherence to the applicable requirements:
